Returns & Exchanges


Delivery
Estimate delivery periods for special ordered merchandise are based upon the manufacturer. It is possible and beyond our control that your order will arrive earlier or later than the estimated shipping time. Local in-home delivery on company trucks is a nominal fee to customers who live near our stores. For in-stock items you will receive a call to schedule delivery within 1-10 days of the order. Long-distance delivery service is used for furniture delivered outside our local delivery zones. Usually, long distance delivery will arrive within 30 days. You will receive a call to schedule delivery once your furniture reaches your area. You can always check delivery status by calling 317-578-7000.


Delivery Charges
Small package delivery is provided for accessories and small furniture items through UPS ground service.
Fees are charged per delivery address. Delivery fees for large furniture items are calculated based upon the weight of the product and the distance from our delivery centers. If you have additional questions please contact customer service at 317-577-2221.


Redelivery Charges 
You are responsible for determining that merchandise will fit through doorways, corridors, and elevators. We are not responsible for damage that could occur for these throughways that are too small for entry of the merchandise.


Delivery Times
Normal Delivery hours for local deliveries are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Delays may occur however due to traffic conditions or other unforeseen events and in no event will Houseworks be held responsible.


Errors
Errors in arithmetic are subject to correction.


Upholstery
Houseworks does not guarantee the durability, color fastness, fade resistance or shrinkage of fabrics, vinyls, or leather products. We do not assume responsibility for shade variations between samples and the final product due to the responsibility of different dye lots. Colors, textures, and clarity on the web are noted as accurately as possible but images can vary depending on basic computer settings and printing variations. If you are trying to color match a particular item we invite you to visit the store for sample swatches.


Cancellation & Return Policy
Special order merchandise is not cancelable after 24 hours of placing order and cannot be returned after delivery. Merchandise found to be defective at time of delivery will be repaired, or refunded at our discretion. Houseworks cannot be held responsible for delays in manufacturing or shipping.
All shipments are carefully inspected before leaving the warehouse. If you are not satisfied with your items upon arrival, please notify us immediately and we will attempt to correct the situation.

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase of stock merchandise we will accept returned goods for a refund 48 hours from purchase less any delivery costs to and from delivery locations. To qualify, goods must be returned in new condition with packaging and your original sales receipt. ALL SALES ARE FINAL AFTER 48 HOURS.

FLOOR SAMPLES, DISCOUNTED AND SALE MERCHANDISE MAY NOT BE RETURNED AND ARE SOLD “AS IS”.

There are no warranties beyond those given by the manufacturer and those in this sales agreement. Houseworks will assist the customer in processing warranty claims with the manufacturer.
